Introduction
The Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) in furtherance of its mandate to develop the framework and technical pathway to exploit, explore and harness the diverse applications of nuclear science and technology for the socio-economic development of Nigeria, is implementing a deliberate policy on Education and Training aimed at building the requisite manpower needed for the implementation of the national programmes.

Consequently, NAEC is seeking to recruit fresh graduates in the Physical Sciences and Engineering for a 3-Month Bridging Programme (3MBP) in Nuclear Science and Nuclear Engineering who will be subsequently employed on successful completion of the training programme.

Fresh graduates with a minimum of Second Class (Honours) Upper Division in the Physical Sciences and Engineering and not more than 28 years are therefore requested to apply at the NAEC website. Candidates are expected to complete the online application form within six weeks of this publication.
Closing Date for Registration is Sunday 8th December 2013.

An aptitude test will be conducted at examination centers in each of the six geo-political zones of the country. Details of the examination centers and the list of candidates per center as well as requirements for attendance at the examination centers will be communicated to candidates who successfully complete the registration process. The aptitude test will be followed by a selection interview.

At the successful completion of the 3-Month Bridging Programme, the graduands would have acquired adequate foundation which would make them ready for post-graduate studies in Nuclear Science and Nuclear Engineering in support of the National Nuclear Power Programme, find employment as professionals in other nuclear science and technology programmes, or as academics in universities, polytechnics and nuclear research institutions nationwide.
