AFRA HOLDS GENERAL MEETING IN ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA FROM 13TH TO 17TH, MARCH, 2023.
The African Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research, Development & Training related to Nuclear Science and Technology (AFRA) is currently holding it’s annual meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. AFRA was established in April, 1990 as an Intergovernmental Agreement by African Member States to strengthen and enlarge the contribution of nuclear science and technology to socioeconomic development on the African continent. It provides a framework for African Member States to intensify their collaboration through programmes and projects focused on the specific shared needs of its members . The Chairman/CEO, NAEC, Prof Yusuf A. Ahmed is representing Nigeria. The meeting is scheduled to run from 13- 17 March, 2023.
