Experts Converge in Geneva for Meeting of the United Nation's Group of Governmental Experts on Nuclear Disarmament

Based on the UN resolution 74/50, the General Assembly requested the UN Secretary General to establish a Group of Governmental Experts (GGE) from 25 Member States to deliberate on nuclear disarmament issues.
The meeting which was held between 15- 19th May, 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland had presentations from Nigeria’s representative Prof. Yusuf A. Ahmed, Chm/CEO, NAEC on the topics “Nuclear Disarmament Verification at Low Numbers and Global Zero” and “Perspectives of Non Nuclear States on Nuclear Disarmament Verification.
