NAEC Chairman/CEO Pays Courtesy Visit to Newly Appointed Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs,SGF’s Office

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC), Engr. Dr. Anthony Ekedegwa, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mrs. Bekeardebo Augusta Warrens.

 

The visit was aimed at formally acquainting the Permanent Secretary with the mandate, programmes, and activities of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission that fall within her purview. It also provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and reinforce collaboration between the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Commission.

 

During the visit, the Chairman highlighted NAEC’s critical role in promoting the peaceful application of nuclear science and technology for national development, particularly in the areas of power generation, healthcare, agriculture, industry, education, and research.

 

He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s developmental agenda through the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear technology.
