PENGASSAN KADUNA ZONAL EXCOS PAY FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO NAEC MANAGEMENT

The newly elected Kaduna Zonal Executive Council of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) paid a familiarization visit to the Management of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC).

The visit was aimed at formally introducing the newly elected Zonal Executive Council to the Management of NAEC, strengthening the relationship between the Union and the Commission, and fostering a more constructive partnership in addressing issues affecting staff and the effective functioning of the Commission. The delegation was led by the Vice Chairman of the Kaduna Zonal Executive Council, who represented the Zonal Chairman, who was unavoidably absent.

During the visit, the Zonal Excos sought to engage Management on existing and pending industrial relations issues within NAEC, with a view to understanding the concerns involved and exploring constructive ways of supporting the Commission in addressing them.

The delegation also reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively with NAEC and its various Branches to promote a harmonious industrial environment, strengthen staff-management relations, and contribute to the attainment of the Commission’s mandate. The Kaduna Zonal Executive Council emphasized that, as a responsible trade union structure, it remains committed to dialogue, partnership and constructive engagement with Management, while ensuring that the legitimate interests and welfare of members are appropriately represented.

The visit further provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on areas of mutual interest and to explore avenues for stronger collaboration between the Kaduna Zone, NAEC Management and the Association’s Branch structures. The Zonal Executive Council expressed appreciation to the Management of NAEC for receiving the delegation and for its openness to engagement. It reiterated its readiness to support initiatives that contribute to the growth and development of the Commission, improved staff welfare, and the successful implementation of NAEC’s mandate.
