NAEC ORGANISES WORKSHOP IN BAYELSA

In line with the Commission’s policy of “Catch them Young”, the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) on Thursday, January 12, 2023 organized a Career Talk/Workshop for public and private secondary schools in Bayelsa State on the peaceful uses/ applications of nuclear science and technology.

The objective of the workshop was to sensitize and create awareness amongst secondary school students on the opportunities available in persuing careers in the various fields of nuclear science and technology at different universities across the country as well as NAEC Partner institutions globally.

The Chairman/ CEO, NAEC, Prof. Yusuf A. Ahmed was represented at the occasion by the Director, Manpower Training and Capacity Development, NAEC, Dr. Ebisomu Agedah.The workshop which was attended by about 150 students from 25 Secondary Schools from across the State also had in attendance, Prof. Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo, VC Niger Delta University(NDU), Prof. Kenneth Okionogbo,Dean, Faculty of Science(NDU), Prof. Ayo Kuye, Chairman, Nigeria Network for Nuclear Science and Technology Education  and  Chairman, Post Primary School Board, Bayelsa State, High Chief Millionaire Asangba.
