The Executive Secretary of CTBTO, Dr. Robert Floyd, has emphasized the need to upgrade the National Data Center (CTBTO Unit) at the Nuclear Technology Center( NTC), Sheda, while calling for staff training and software updates to meet international standards during his working visit to the Center on Tuesday, 8th July.

Commenting during the visit,Acting Chairman NAEC, Dr. Engr. Anthony Ekedegwa, called for the Center to be designated as a CTBTO Regional Training Hub for hosting both national and international events.

Dr. Floyd toured the facility and was briefed on its operations after meeting with top Management of the Commission.

CTBTO is the global body working to enforce the ban on nuclear testing and monitors seismic and volcanic activity worldwide.
