NAEC Advocates for Local Content Participation in Design and Sitting of NPP and MPRR:

As part of the FG’s efforts on the deployment of Nuclear Power Plants & the Multi Purpose Research Reactor for various applications in Nigeria, NAEC on Wednesday, 6th March, 2024 in Abuja kicked off a 2 day national workshop on “Local Content Development and Participation of Nigeria’s Industries in the Sitting and Design of Research Reactor for Multipurpose Application in Nigeria”.
The Workshop which was declared open by the Chm/CEO, NAEC, Prof. Yusuf Ahmed represented by Prof. Abdulahi Matti, is aimed at engaging Stakeholders (SH) on issues with Nigerian local content law and provisions available for local industry participation in nuclear related projects.
The workshop is also expected to create an enabling environment for effective interaction, exchange of ideas and information amongst relevant SH organisations as to nuclear grade material requirements for participation in the project.
