NAEC Host NDA Cadets at NTC

The Nigeria Defence Academy(NDA) Cadets Educational field trip by the Academy’s Mathematical department is on a two day excursion to the Nuclear Technology Center (NTC) Sheda starting today 4th April, 2023.

In his welcome address to the Cadets, the Chairman/CEO of NAEC Professor Ahmed Yusuf who was represented by the director NTC, Dr Hamman Tukur Gabdo assured the Cadets of resourceful excursion at the NTC and advised them to ask relevant questions where necessary in areas the need clarity. 

Similarly, the Director Manpower Training and Capacity Development(MTCD) Dr Ebisomu Agedah gave an overview of the areas of coverage during the field trip which includes the mandate and activities of NAEC,the simulation systems as well as comprehensive Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), likewise a facility tour of the Gamma Irradiation Facility, Waste Management Facility and the Multipurpose Laboratory Complex(Glass House). 

In a goodwill message, the head of Microbiology, NTC, Dr Uchenna Onwuhaka Madu assured the Cadets of an eventful field trip to NAEC. 

The NDA Cadets educational field trip is a regular exercise to the Commission and this year’s trip is led by retired Wing Commander U.L Okafor and other men of the Nigerian Army Guards Brigade.
