3-Day National Workshop for IAEA Project Counterparts in Nigeria

The Chairman/CEO of NAEC, Prof. Yusuf Aminu Ahmed  today 21st November 2022 declared open a 3-Day National Workshop for IAEA Project Counterparts in Nigeria. Prof. Ahmed was  represented by Director, (NPPD), Prof. Abdullahi A. Mati.

In his opening remarks, he appreciated all the participants for honouring the invitation despite the short notice and emphasised on the importance of the workshop. He advised participants/project coordinators at the  workshop to ensure project implementation is broad and not limited only to local institution for the benefit of the entire country and pleaded for more robust interaction amongst Project Counterparts. Deputy Director, ICL(NAEC) and IAEA NLA, Engr. Awwal Bisallah welcomed the participants and reiterate the importance of the country’s membership to IAEA is sustained through commitment. 

He added that, the objective  of the workshop is to create a platform for feedback from Project Counterparts to enable the NLO know of any challenges encountered for quick intervention for the smooth implementation of projects to the benefit of the country. 

Goodwill messages were received from Prof. Fasina Abayomi Sunday, Vice Chancellor Federal University,  Oye Ekiti and representatives of DG NNRA, Dr. Yau Idris and  DG ECN, Prof. E.J Bala.
