The Maitama branch of the Nigeria Society of Engineers(NSE) led by its Chairman Engr. Thomas Ocheme Itodo(FNSE) today, 6th August, 2025 paid a technical visit to the Gamma Irradiation Facility of the Nuclear Technology Center, Sheda. 

 

The visit is part of the society’s week-long Engineering week program with the theme: Smart Infrastructure for sustainable Development, Engineering Strategies for Nigeria’s Blue Economy. 

 

The Gamma Irradiation Facility was chosen by the NSE Maitama branch to afford members of the society the opportunity to appreciate Sundry engineering breakthrough, enhance membership  capacity development and share professional experiences. 

 

In a show of appreciation,the NSE Maitama branch presented a plaque to the Acting Chairman/ CEO NAEC, Dr.Engr. Anthony Ekedegwa and was received on his behalf by the Acting Head GIF,Mr Abdulmojeed Lawal.
